And your right, "don't be a dick" is true in every relationship, but the campsite rule is a good reminder for situations where one partner has a a lot more power / experience over another partner, so I think it especially applicable to the bowl.

I just came across Dan Savage “The campsite rule” I don’t know why it felt like a revelation to me but I just loved the essence of it. While the rule is aimed at an older partner being sexually involved with a younger partner, I just thought it was so profound. brownandsweet 2025
